This incredible natural geisha comes from the Finca Santa Teresa estate in Santa Clara. The team at Santa Teresa have long been involved in the global high end coffee market, but actually their primary sale is of large scale high quality traditional varieties (catuai and caturra). The name Zorro itself has an interesting story. Given by the production manager JR, it comes from one of the first moments that they cupped the new plot.

The story goes that the first time JR and Toby cupped the natural of this plot JR looked at Toby and said

JR – “We should call it Zorro”

Toby -“Why?”

JR – “Because this is awesome, and Zorro is awesome”

And the name Zorro was born.

The geisha trees (which are also the progeny of Don Serracin’s Geisha at the Don Pache estate) have an unusually high abundance of Bronze tip mutation which resulted in an extremely high cup score.
