Description
Manhattan Coffee Roasters writes about this coffee:
Introducing a beautiful washed Geisha from El Recreo! Diego and Fernando have been producing coffee for a long time, however most of that was solely commodity coffee.
It was only in the last few years that they started producing specialty coffee on their farm in Santa Barbara. Their primary business was the production of fertilizer, however around five years ago they decided to invest in and plant a number of coffee varietals to expand their offering and produce high-quality, specialty grade lots. One of those was this delightful Geisha. This particular lot of Geisha has been processed as a traditional washed coffee. The cherries spent 20h submerged in a tank with water to ferment before it was pulped, washed and transferred to raised beds to dry for around 20 days.
On the cupping table, we are getting notes of lemon, peach and jasmine pearls!
